Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society (TSWREIS) under the aegis of the Ministry of Welfare, the Government of Telangana has been passionately working to place the poorest among the Scheduled Castes in the prosperous orbit through quality education for the last 35 years.

This Society with 268 institutions with 150000 students has been providing quality education in English medium up to graduation. The honorable chief minister of Telangana Sri K. Chandrasekhar Rao strongly believes that education is the right medium by which the lives of the marginalized children can be transformed in social and economic spheres thereby cultivating a new generation of marginalized students in Telangana, who can lead the country in the 21st century.

The Society believes in seamless experimentation and syncing with the emerging trends in the education space. The government of Telangana state has recently announced a new scheme named as Telangana Free Laptop Scheme 2020 through which the government will provide free and effective laptops to the meritorious students of the state.

Through the implementation of this Free Laptop Scheme 2020 Telangana, the government will provide laptops to the poor and meritorious students of the state who are not able to afford a laptop due to the lack of money.

Thanking Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, the Secretary for TSWREIS, Kumar said under KG-PG mission, the vision of the State government was that no child in the State should feel left out because of poverty. A total of 40 laptops were distributed to the outstanding students this year alone said Kumar.

Students will be benefited from this scheme and laptops will be distributed free of cost to them by the Telangana Government. As per the unofficial information, laptops will be given to students of 8th, 10th and 12th classes. But to get a laptop, students will have to get at least 75% marks in the class in which the laptops will be given Under the free laptop distribution scheme. Most benefits of this scheme will be to the meritorious students who are financially backward and their families are not able to give any such item like buying a laptop etc.

But in today’s era, it has become mandatory for a student to have resources like a laptop. The Telangana State Government is going to Start a new Scheme for the Students who are Studying 10th and 12th Classes in TS Schools and Colleges. The Main objective of this Scheme is to contribute to the Digital Education among the beneficiaries. And this scheme will apply to Only Karnataka State SC, ST, OBC Students who are Studying 10th and 12th Classes.

Student Eligibility Criteria

1. The Students must have completed 12th standard in Telangana State private or Government colleges.
2. Applicants should have scored 85% and above marks in the Class 12th to apply for this scheme.
3. Candidates who want to register for this scheme must be a permanent Citizen of Telangana state.
4. Only the regular students will allow applying for this Free laptop scheme.
