Arunodoi Scheme
Well Guys The state government of Assam aims to provide Rs. 830 per month financial assistance to about 15-17 thousand families per assembly constituency.
At the rate of Rs. 830 per month, the beneficiaries of the Arunodoi scheme will receive a total benefit of Rs. 10,000 per year for nutritional and medicinal support.
In Assam, Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tabled budget for the year 2020-21 with a slew of welfare measures.

Orunodoi Scheme Assam
An amount of 2800 crore rupees is earmarked for the Arunodoi Scheme (Orunodoi scheme) under which annually 10 thousand rupees to be given to 27 lakh poor households through DBT.
Mr. Sarma says that 25 lakh rupees will be given per school for 200 elementary schools on pilot basis for infrastructure development.
The Assam government is to give free sanitary napkins to girls in 6th to 12th standards government and government-aided schools.
The Assam government has also started Sarba Brihat DBT Scheme from 17 August and Beneficiary selection will start from district level committee will start.
Under this, the beneficiary women will get the amount in her account. As per the state government, this scheme will be launched on 2 October 2020, and approx 17 lakh families will get Rs 830 every month for the next five years.
As per the scheme, the amount will get those families who have an annual income of less than 2 lakh rupees.
In this lockdown situation many families can’t go out for their jobs, and they don’t have enough money to get food, medicine, and daily usage things. If they will get this amount the people will have at least basic needs.

Only women will be the beneficiary of the scheme to ensure its proper use by the family.
Himanta Biswa Sarma further reacted on the latest clause 6 committee report being released by the All Assam Students Union (AASU).
In that report, he commented that the report needs to enter the Assembly only to form a proper solution. He also criticized the AASU of creating more complications with the release of the report and called them “a political party and no longer an organisation”.
There will be scrutiny of these beneficiaries at the Block and District levels to ensure the accuracy of the Arunodoi Scheme list of beneficiaries.
Once the beneficiaries are selected, we will make a lump sum transfer of Rs.10000 to the accounts of the beneficiaries in the later part of this financial year.
Assam Financial Support Scheme for Poor Families Key Points
Under this scheme a total sum of Rs.830 will be provided to the selected beneficiaries on a monthly basis. This benefit will be provided so that they can procure medicine, sugar, pulses. fruits and vegetables.
Out of the total amount, Rs.400 will be provided to them for procuring medicines, Rs.200/- for 50% subsidy for 4 kilograms of pulses, Rs.80/- for 4 kg of sugar (50% subsidy) and Rs.150/- will be provided for fruits and vegetables.

Arunodaya scheme
In Arunodaya scheme will cover 17 lakh families. The appropriate government of the scheme will increase the number of families to 25 lakh in the coming time.
