Free Laptop Scheme Documents & Eligibility Criteria
- Domicile certificate : Only the students of Tamil Nadu can apply for this scheme. They would have to submitted the copy of their domicile certificate to apply for this free laptop scheme in Tamil Nadu.
- Educational Certificates : Applicant must have their all educational certificates such as 10th and 12th mark sheets to apply for Free Laptop Scheme .
- Family Income Certificate : Students have to submitted their family’s annual income certificate. They only can get the benefits of this scheme if their annual income would not be more than government has decided for taking the benefits of this scheme.
- Identity Proof : Student have to submitted the copies of their identity proofs such as Aadhaar Card, Voter ID card, Pan Card and Ration Card etc.
- Cast Certificate : Scheduled cast and scheduled tribes will get preferences. So applicant would have to provided their cast certificate to apply for this scheme.

- Firstly go to the official portal https://it.tn.gov.in/en/ELCOT launched by government.
- On home page click on click on apply online button.
- A new page will be opened in front of you. Put your e-mail address and password and captcha code to login into official portal.
- After that registration form will be open in front of you.
- Fill this form with asked information such as Your Name, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, DOB, Gender, Aadhar Number and click on next button.
- After that upload the scanned copies of necessary documents such as passport size photograph, signature, cast and Income certificate and domicile certificate etc.
- Then after verification click on submit button and take a printout of registration number for future use.

- On home page click on Beneficiaries list option.
