Nekarara Sammana Yojane Handloom Weavers Payment Status Check, Karnataka Weaver Samman Yojana 2000 Rs For Handloom Weavers Scheme
In order to benefit suffering handloom weavers, CM Y S Yediyurappa has announced to launch Nekarara Sammana Yojane 2020 also known as Weaver Samman Scheme. Under this scheme, the state govt. will deposit Rs. 2,000 directly into the bank accounts of each handloom weaver.
This amount would be transferred through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode. Around 54,000 handloom weavers in the state would be benefited from this scheme.
Nekarara Sammana yojane launched by the chief minister of Karnataka BS Yediyurappa. The Karnataka government announced a relief fund of Rs 1,610 crore to benefit farmers, flower-growers, washermen, auto-rickshaw and taxi drivers, MSMEs, large industries, weavers, building workers and barbers.
All these will get benefited by this scheme. These persons are facing very difficulties during the COVID-19 lockdown in the Karnataka state. That’s why BS Yediyurappa brought a relief fund for the people of Karnataka.
Nekarara Sammana Yojane
The chief minister of Karnataka BS Yediyurappa announced a new scheme named Nekarara Sammana yojane to benefit the lockdown affected persons in Karnataka state.
In this scheme, Nekarara Sammana Yojane government will deposit Rs 2,000 directly into the bank accounts of handloom waiver with the help of DBT. With this scheme, almost 54,000 handloom weavers get benefitted in the state.
The above compensation would be provided with an estimated cost of Rs 1,610.00 crore, which would help those who are in distress due to lockdown, the Chief Minister added.
Registered building workers in Karnataka state is 15.80 lakh and these workers already get Rs 2,000 in their bank accounts through DBT.
While additional Rs 3,000 has been decided to transfer in the bank accounts of these workers through DBT. This will really help these workers to continue their lives without any problem.
People from all sections of society are facing financial difficulties due to lockdown of more than 1 ½ months. 2. Flower growers have destroyed their flowers following lack of demand for their produce due to lock down.
It is estimated that farmers cultivated flowers in about 11,687 hectares. Realising flower growers problems, Government has decided to announce compensation of Rs.25,000/- per hectare limited to the maximum extent of one hectare for the flower growers who have suffered crop loss. 3.
Farmers who have grown vegetables and fruits due to lock down were not able to market their produce. Government has decided to announce a relief package for these farmers. 4. Covid-19 not only affected farmers, but also affected the service professionals such as barbers and washer men (dhobis) both in urban and rural areas.
Govt. has decided to provide one time compensation of Rs.5,000/- each to benefit about 60,000 washer men (dhobis) and about 2,30,000 barbers.
Karnataka Weaver Samman Yojana
Auto Rickshaw and Taxi drivers have lost their income due to lockdown. It is decided to help about 7,75,000 Auto & Taxi drivers by providing one time compensation of Rs.5,000/- each.
SMEs have also suffered huge production losses due to lockdown. It takes some time for them to revive. Hence Government has decided to come to rescue of MSMEs.
The monthly fixed charges of electricity bills of MSMEs will be waived for two months.
Payment of fixed charges in the Electricity bills of the large industries will be deferred without penalty and interest for a period of two months.
In addition to the above-mentioned projects, the state government has also launched the Karnataka Nekarara Sammana Yojane.
Nekarara Sammana Yojane 2000 Rs For Handloom Weavers Scheme
Lockdown has brought miseries for the weavers who are already suffering due to slow down of their industry.
The Government has already announced Rs.109/- Crore “Weavers Loan Waiver” scheme. Of which Rs.29.00 Crore has been released during 2019-20. Balance amount of Rs.80.00 Crore will be released immediately. This will help weavers to get fresh loans to continue their occupation.

Especially, the Karnataka Government already launched a scheme for the drivers, farmers, weavers, small and medium industries, flower growers, washermen, building workers. To help those, the government of Karnataka has sanctioned Rs. 1,161 crore.
Under this sanctioned amount, the handloom weavers will also get benefits. They will get the financial assistance of about Rs. 5000/- for one time. This amount may help them to live properly in this lockdown situation.
