WB CM Mamata Banerjee has recently launched Free Tablets Scheme on 3rd December 2020.Under this scheme there will be free tablets have been distributed by government of West Bengal.

Approximately 9.5 lacs students are studying in government schools and government added schools each and every student who is studying in class plus two will get tablet under this scheme.

Eligibility Criteria of Tablet Distribution

Applicants under this Eligibility Criteria will be eligible for this scheme is given below

1. Students who wants to apply should be the permanent resident of West Bengal.
2. Applicant should be studying in government schools, government added schools and Madrasas.
3. Students should be the student of 12th class.
4. Annual Income of the applicant’s family should less than 2 lacs.
5. Applicant should be good in his/her studies and he have cleared all the previous exams.

• Permanent resident proof such as Electricity bill and water bill
• Income Certificate
• School’s identity Card
• Mobile number for further inquiry

Basic Need to Launch WB Free Tablet Scheme

We know that because of pandemic there were no educational institutes are opening. So children are studying from their homes and not every child can afford tablets or computers for their classes.

So for poor people this scheme has been started. Under this scheme approximately 36,000 government and government added schools and around 14,000 higher education school and 636 Madrasas will get Benefits of this free tablets distribution scheme.

So this is very useful scheme for people who doesn’t have tablets or laptops.

But this scheme is only announced . There is no official Information to apply online for this scheme till now. You have to wait for official statement to apply for this scheme.
