Hello Everyone. Central Government of the India has recently announced a subsidy scheme to balance the prices of Tomatoes, Onions and Potatoes. Central Government has named this scheme, Operation Green Scheme 2023.

Under this scheme farmers will get freight subsidy on their vegetable and fruits. So that farmers will be able to get rights prices for their production as well as the prices of tomatoes, onions and potatoes will be balanced for all the people of India.

Government will provide a subsidy for the farmers so that they will be encouraged to grow more these fruits and veggies. When farmers will get this subsidy they can earn better with their production as well as the prices of these vegetables will be stable in offseason. Around 500/- crore budget has been sanctioned to the implementation of this scheme by the central government of India.

Operation Green Scheme 2023

With this step Central government of India is trying to make infrastructure to save naturally preserve crops. Government of India has released this 50% subsidy on transportation on 11 November 2020. Mainly people from Himalayan region and North Eastern States will get the benefits of this 50% subsidy scheme on fruits and vegetables.

Benefits of Operation Green Scheme

Government of India has sanctioned 500 crore yearly budget for the Implementation of this scheme.
Under this scheme suppliers and agents will get 50% freight charges subsidy on air transportation of their production.
The balanced subsidy of 50% will be given by the Ministry of Food Processing Industries.
This scheme will be able for all the suppliers till 6 months of its announcement.
The main objective to launch this scheme is to reduce the post harvest loses of farmers in the period of lockdown.

This scheme is applicable only for the Himalayas and North Eastern States’ airports such as Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Manipur, Nagaland, Sikkim, Mizoram, and Tripura. It is also Applicable for Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jammu & Kashmir, and Ladakh.

Fruits List

Litchi, Sweet Potato, Chikoo, Passion fruit, Jackfruit, Kinnow, Aonla Kiwi, Lime, Lemon, Pineapple, Pomegranate, Papaya, Apple, Almond, Pear, Mango, Banana, Guava, Orange andMousambi.

Vegetables List

Gourd, Green chilies, Cucumber, Peas, Large Cardamom, Okra, Ginger, Cabbage, Squash, Dry Turmeric, Garlic, Brinjal, Capsicum, Carrot, Cauliflower, Bitter, Onion, Potato, Tomato and French beans.

By visiting the website you will get home page of the website.

Select on the Operation Green Scheme from home page.
Then you will get Registration form on your screen.
Now enter the name of candidate.
After that fill your address, State, District, City and pin code.

Then enter first contact person’s mobile number and email address.
After that you have to entered the details of second contact person’s mobile number and email address.
Then choose the candidate’s category and sub category.
After that choose the crops and production cluster and you can add more crops by click on Add Crop option.
