Just before the Legislative elections of Madhya Pradesh this year BJP candidate and current Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan played his master stroke by announcing a new scheme Ladli Bahana Yojna for the elevating of poor and backward women of the society.
The MP ladli Behna Yojana 2023 according to MP Shivraj Singh Chauhan was announced keeping in mind the weaker and backward women of the society he added “I wanted to strengthen women and make them self-sufficient so in order to able to make women afford their basic necessity for a better living this scheme was announced.”
The MP Ladli Behna Yojana 2023 is said to be launched in around 3 months impacting close to 1 crore women from the Madhya Pradesh state and Scheme offers to provide financial help with Rs 1000 per woman per month for the next 5 years.

According to CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan’s announcement Ladli Behna Yojana 2023 was introduced keeping in mind the need of women in society and to make them financially strong and self-sufficient.
Ladli Behna Yojana 2023 was announced On Saturday, During the Narmada Puram a Narmada Jayanti festival. Under the scheme, all the poor and weaker section women will be provided financial support of 12000 Rs a year for the next 5 years which sums up to 60,000 Rs worth of financial support.
All Poor and middle-class family women who are not taxpayers will be covered under the scheme. Women whether married or unmarried will be the beneficiary of the scheme. This scheme is the government’s effort to ease the financial conditions of poor and suppressed women in society.
Benefits of Ladli Behna Yojana
To support the marginal subsection of society and provide a well-rounded financial structure to the poor and suppressed women the scheme Ladli Bahana Yojana 2023 was developed. Under the Scheme All women except taxpayer women will be given:-
- Financial Support of Rs 12,000 a year will be granted to the beneficiary of the scheme to ease the financial difficulty faced by them.
- The money under the scheme will be transferred to the beneficiary’s account month on monthly basis.
- The scheme was introduced to financially support and strengthen weaker and below the poverty line and suppressed women in society.
- Around 1 Crore women of the section are expected to benefit from the Ladli Bahana Yojana.
- CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan announced that in 5 years 12,000 crore Rs will be credited to women’s accounts across the state.
- This means every month Rs1000 crore will be credited to all the eligible women of Madhya Pradesh.
Aim of Ladli Behna Yojana
To financially strengthen the Women of Society by providing support as a gesture to help them become self-sufficient.
The scheme aims to provide equality to women in society. 60,000 crore worth of financial support will be provided by the government.
Elevation of suppressed sections of women to equality and financial stability is the main aim of the scheme ladli bahan yojana 2023.
Who will Get benefit from Ladli Behna Yojana
- Women of all cast and religions.
- Must be the Domicile of Madhya Pradesh.
- And Tax Payers will not be counted in the support group.
- This means Poor, backward, and suppressed sections of society will be the beneficiary of the scheme.
- All Married and unmarried women of the society will benefit from Ladli Behna Yojana.
- Under a statement, school-going and college-going might not be included in the scheme.

Eligibility Criteria For Ladli Behna Yojana
- A woman must be a Domicile of Madhya Pradesh
- The beneficiary should not be a taxpayer
- Poor or below the poverty line, suppressed section of women.
- All married and unmarried are eligible under the scheme
- 65% of the women in MP will benefit from the scheme
- Most rural area women will be targeted.

According to the government, 1 Crore women will benefit from the scheme, which is expected to benefit 65% of total women in Madya Pradesh which is a very impressive mark to hit. A similar scheme In April 2007 with the name Ladli laxmi yojana was introduced targeting different sections of women.
Not all the details have been made public yet but it is said that the School and college-going girls will not be included in the beneficiary category all the women who will be in a beneficiary category will get the whole benefit of the scheme
