Akanksha Housing Scheme
West Bengal Akanksha Housing Scheme 2023 is started by the state government of west Bengal. This scheme is launched in the state on 28 February 2014 now the state government has again promoted this scheme in the state. Under the scheme, all the government employees of the state get benefits from the scheme. The state government distribute the fee land for the make the flats to the housing department of the state. Under the scheme housing department constructs the 1 bhk, 2bhk, and 3 bhk flats on the government land and distributed them among the government employees.
On the land, the department constructs 13 towers in which there are 576 flats are built. There is also all the facilities available like 236 space for covered car parking and 35 space for open car parking according to the classes wise.

Eligibility Criteria Akanksha Housing Project

Objective of Akanksha Housing Scheme
The main objective is to launch the West Bengal Akanksha Housing Scheme 2023 to provide flats to government employees. Employees who have no house in their name and are permanent citizens of the state apply for the scheme.
Disallowed Beneficiary under Akanksha Housing
- Any employees who serve in the Panchayat, Municipalities, and other local communities of state government then they are not eligible under the scheme.

- All the non-government school staff like teachers and non-teaching staff are disallowed under the scheme.
- Employees who are working undertaking companies like WBSEDCL, WBPDCL, SBSTC, NBSTC ETC. Are not eligible.

Provision For Refund and Rejection of application form Under Akanksha Housing Scheme
- If the documents of the application are incorrect and did not match with the income certificate then the application form is rejected. There will be no provision to refund the amount.
- If the applicant did not pay any installment within the time under the scheme then their application is rejected.
- If the applicant did not accept the allotment letter within 30 days then the application form is rejected and the application fee is not refunded.
- If the applicant is late to pay the installment amount then they can pay the interest rate of 12% and if they fail to pay this amount then their application form is rejected.
- 15 % Amount can be refunded without any interest if a candidate returns the allotment after paying the amount of the installments and other application fees etc after the subtraction.
- The refund amount is transferred to the registered bank account of the applicant.
