Khadya Sathi Eligibility Criteria
There are some important information regarding this scheme’s eligibility Criteria given below:-
- User who wants to apply for Khadya Sathi should be permanent resident of West Bengal.
- Applicant should have his/her Ration Card.
- People who live below poverty line and people who live in rural areas and had affected by flood are also eligible for this scheme.
- Applicant if he/she does Government jobs not comes under this scheme.

Objective of Khadya Sathi Prokalpo
27 January 2016, West Bengal Government started this scheme for the poor people of the state.
So that they can also afford food for themselves as they are unable due to their financial condition.
Under this scheme Government started to give Rs. 2/- per KG rice and wheat to the very poor people.
More than 50 lacs people of the state are getting Ration on Half prices under this scheme. The main objective of the scheme is that no one should live empty stomach in West Bengal.
Benefits of WB Khadya Sathi Scheme
Here is some Major Benefits of the scheme given below:-
- First important benefit is now anyone can get food by this scheme many poor people of the state could not get one time food now they can eat well.
- Approximately 9 crores of people I West Bengal for all digital ration card will be provided so they can take ration anywhere in country on same prices.
- People of West Bengal who lives in tea garden can get 35 kg food grains at Rs. 2/- per Kg every month. Fair prices shops have been settled in 126 tea gardens.
- People who have been affected badly from flood can also take advantage of this scheme.
- Toto Tribes people can get food grains for free.
Khadya Sathi Card Services
There are seven types of card related services are available. U Types cards are for Municipal Areas and R types cards are for Panchayat Areas have been submitted to the concerned food inspector of the department.
- III – III number card is for including someone in Beneficiaries list to receive food grains in subsidized prices
- IV – IV number card for entry of new family member
- V –V number card for any correction such as name and address
- VI – VI number card is for changing dealer
- VII – VII number is for cancellations of card
- VIII – VIII number to shifts your BPL card into AYY card
- IX – IX number card for applying duplicate card in case you have lost old one.
