All necessary precautions such as prior screening of passengers, maintaining social distancing at the station and in the train were followed. Ch. Rakesh, CPRO South Central Railway, said the train was arranged on the request of the Telangana government and as per the directions of the Ministry of Railways.

The passengers have to be screened by the sending states and only those found asymptomatic would be allowed to travel. Sending State Governments will have to bring these persons in batches that can be accommodated in the train to the designated Railway Station in sanitized buses following social distancing norms and other precautions. It will be mandatory for every passenger to wear face cover. Meals and drinking water would be provided to the passengers by the sending states at the originating station.

For social distancing measures, it has allowed only 54 passengers per coach which has a capacity of 72. In coupes, six passengers have been allowed instead of eight, the spokesperson said. The train has no stop in between, it will directly stop at Hatia in Jharkhand he said. A special non-stop train left Telangana for Jharkhand early Friday morning on request of the Telangana government and as per the directions of the Ministry of Railways, to transport stranded migrant labourers amid the nationwide lockdown to curb the spread of Coronavirus. The train carrying 1,200 migrant workers started from Lingampalli in Hyderabad at 5 am for Hatia in Jharkhand. The train will reach Hatia around 11 pm on Friday.

The first such train was run with 1,200 passengers from Hyderabad to Jharkhand at 4.50 am on Friday.  The Railways will endeavour to ensure social distancing norms and hygiene with the cooperation of passengers. On longer routes, the Railways will provide a meal enroute during the journey.
