Poshan Abhiyaan is a very important program run by the government of India that assures the nutritional needs of every pregnant woman, breastfeeding mother, and child. The government is also providing us with an online platform and apps to register and apply for taking the benefits of Poshan Abhiyaan. The ministry of women and child development has implemented this program in 315 districts In the first year of this Abhiyaan.
235 districts are being covered by the scheme in the second year and the remaining districts of India will be covered in the third year after launching this Poshan Abhiyaan scheme. In 2017-18 when this scheme was launched government has sanctioned around 9046 crores for the implementation of this scheme. There are so many plans to deal with the malnutrition problem, but for this, we need to interlink all these programs so that we could get our goal to get a malnutrition-free India.

- Applicants should be Indian
- Breastfeeding mother

- Infants 0-6 Months
- Children 6 Months to 3 Years
- Children 3 Years to 6 Years
- Adolescent Girls (11 Years-19 Years
Important Key Points of Poshan Abhiyaan 2023
- This is the mission of the government of India to reduce and finish malnutrition in India.
- For reducing Malnutrition, the government is offering Ration and hot cooked food to pregnant, lactating mothers, infants, and girls in the age group of 11 to 19 years.
- Children in the age group of 3 to 6 can enjoy a hot cooked meal in Anganwadi Kendras. The hot cooked meal will be offered at least 21 days a month.
- Children who need more nutrition can rake additional nutritional food from Anganwadi Kendras.
- adolescent girls, lactating mothers, and children from 6 months to 3 years can take their ration home.
- For registration, beneficiaries need to visit their nearest Anganwadi Kendra.
