Eligibility Criteria
- The bride must be at least 18 years old at the time of marriage the groom must be 21 years old at the time of marriage.
- Only one woman in a family will be able to get the benefits of this scheme.
- The annual income of the family should not be more than 1 lacs per annum.
- You can apply before 45 days of marriage.
- For getting the Benefits of this scheme girl should be at least a 10th pass.
- Scheduled tribes girls will be able to get Benefits of this scheme even if they 5th pass.
Benefits of Moovalur Ramamirtham Scheme

- Under this scheme girls of poor families and whose qualifications will be 10th, will get 25,000/- rupees and 8 grams of gold at the time of their marriage.
- Girls whose pursuing bachelor’s degrees and above will get rupees 50,000/- and 8 grams of gold at the time of marriage.
- Girls below 18 will not able to get this financial assistance at the time of their marriage because this scheme is only applicable the girls above 18 years old.

You can apply for this scheme at District Social Welfare Department in your area and approach your nearest e-Service Center with the relevant documents. They will submit your application online in your area to the Union Office for Panchayats, the Municipal Commission for Municipalities, and the Corporation Commission for Corporations.

Your application will be considered by the District Social Officer within 15 days. After checking the couple documents who are going to get married the amount will be credited to the bank account.
Only the gold will be given directly into the hands of the bride. It is necessary to apply 45 days before the wedding. If the marriage is urgent or unexpected, bring it to the attention of the District Social Officer and apply late.
