maha job portal registration 2023

Maharashtra Government has released the job portal for skilled, semi-skilled, and unskilled laborers. After the lockdown, many migrant laborers came back to Maharashtra and now they are unemployed and on the other hand entrepreneurs and businessmen don’t have workers as they have moved to their town.

So to bridge the gap between unemployed laborers and entrepreneurs who need workers government decided to launch this portal.

This portal has more than 15 registered sectors and anyone can register it online and get the jobs on the basis of the skills required.

MIDC had recently conducted a Human Resource Survey 2023 after 65,000 industrial units reopened following the relaxation of COVID-19 lockdown norms in Maharashtra. Out of these 65,000 units, around 3,300 units have responded.

These industrial units have indicated the requirement of around 50,000 employees. Of these, 70% are skilled and semi-skilled while 30% are unskilled.

Those industrial units which are situated in the MIDC industrial estates as well as that outside can register themselves on this Maha Jobs portal for recruitment.

How the Maha Jobs Portal will help in the Resumption of Economy?

The portal will help in the resumption of business and industries in the state of Maharashtra, which will further help in recreating the economic cycle in the state that was disrupted due to the nationwide lockdown imposed against the COVID-19 pandemic.

Those migrant workers who had earlier left for their home towns in other states of the country are now trying to return back as the Industries and Businesses have now started their operations since Unlock 1.

The demand for workers will be there, but as the restrictions in the movement of people still remain across the states in the country and with only 230 trains operating in the country at present, a shortage of workers will be experienced by Industries and Businesses. The Jobs portal will help in overcoming such a shortage.
