गुजरात में शिक्षा के स्तर को सुधारने के लिए राज्य सरकार ने अब रेगुलर शिक्षकों की भर्ती की बजाय प्रवासी शिक्षकों की भर्ती करने का फैसला लिया है. इसके लिए पूरे प्रदेश भर में लगभग 10,000 प्रवासी शिक्षकों की भर्ती की जाएगी. गुजरात के शिक्षा मंत्री श्री जीतू वाघनी ने बताया कि राज्य के दूरदराज इलाकों मैं शिक्षा के स्तर को बढ़ाने के लिए योग्य शिक्षकों की भर्ती की जाएगी. इस पूरी प्रक्रिया के लिए सरकार द्वारा 10.50 करोड रुपए का प्रावधान किया गया है.
ऐसे स्कूल जहां पर टीएएस पद्धति नहीं है वहां पर शिक्षकों का दैनिक मानदेय वेतन ₹510 तय किया गया है. इस प्रकार शिक्षकों का मासिक वेतन ₹10500 से अधिक नहीं होगा. इस पूरी प्रक्रिया में मुख्य शिक्षक, सीनियर शिक्षक एवं स्कूल व्यवस्थापन समिति द्वारा मिलजुलकर प्रवासी शिक्षकों को नियुक्त किया जाएगा. ऐसे स्कूल जहां पर केवल एक ही अध्यापक है, वहां पर सबसे पहले प्रवासी शिक्षकों की भर्ती की जाए.
