Hello Everyone. Today we are here to discuss a New Assam Govt Scheme Suhrid Scheme 2023. This is also known as the MLA Scholarship Scheme of Assam is a type of scheme where the local Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) gives financial assistance to those students who have good performance in their recent board exams.

Govt of Assam has introduced a new SUHRID Scheme under the MLA-LAD program with an additional grant of  Rs 50.00 Lakhs per Constituency (LAC) to enable assistance by the MLAs to the poor and needy citizens of their constituencies to meet their expenses incurred in the areas of Health & Higher Education. The main vision behind this scheme is to provide an opportunity to complete study of those students whose economic condition is a barrier in the case of higher education.

Suhrid Scheme

Under Suhrid Scheme 2023 MLA Area Development Fund, an MLA of a constituency will receive an amount of ₹50,00,000 (Fifty Lacs Rupees) to help needy poor people of his constituency. The government of Assam this year also provide the above-mentioned fund to all 126 contingency’s MLAs of Assam and under this fund an educational assistance scheme is available for the students who are studying Post-Matriculation courses or above and their financial condition is not good.

SUHRID Guideline

  1. So Guys the One time financial assistance up to Rs.10, 000 per case may be granted to a patient as assistance for treatment of various critical diseases with the limit in exceptional cases up to Rs.20,000.
  2. One time financial assistance up to Rs.10, 000 per student may be granted to a student as assistance for higher/ Technical and Vocational Educational purposes with the limit in exceptional cases up to Rs.20,000.
  3. The intended beneficiary should neither be from the MLA’s family nor his /her relative, nor any Govt. employee or his /her dependent.
  4. The funds should be transferred to the A/C of the beneficiary by RTGS under Direct Benefit Transfer by the D.C. of the District concerned on receipt of the recommendation of the MLA.
  5. The names of beneficiaries should be uploaded in the District Website every month by the concerned DC along with details of the purpose.
  6. Only one beneficiary may be selected from a particular family in one financial year.
  7. Any benefit under Suhrid Scheme 2023 should not be repeated to the same beneficiary in subsequent years.
  8. Utilization Certificate should be submitted for the financial year concerned within 3(three) months of the close of the financial year.

  2. Passport.
  3. Voter Card.
  4. Driving License.
  5. Aadhaar Card.
  6.  Photo ID issued by Recognised Educational Institution.
  7. Certificate of Identify having photo issued by Gazetted Officer.

Suhrid Scheme Application Form / Apply Online

Applicants or Students who were passed 10th or studying after matriculation are available to apply for this MLA Scholarship Scheme of the Government of Assam. There are several conditions of this SUHRID scheme that’s why we strongly suggest you contact your MLA’s office.
